When arriving in the Fort Leavenworth area, the nearest airport servicing domestic and international flights is the Kansas City International Airport which is located about 20 miles from the post. There are no bus or rail services to or from the post, but taxi services is available. If traveling to Fort Leavenworth by car, take Highway 73/Kansas Highway 7 to Metropolitan Avenue. Fort Leavenworth is located right off Metropolitan Avenue.
